Roberto Azevedo

As Advisory Partner at Stanton Chase São Paulo, Roberto leads the Advisory practice in Brazil, bringing together Leadership, Executive Rewards, and Corporate Governance for major Brazilian and multinational enterprises. He works directly with senior leadership and boards on the decisions that define organizations during succession, transformation, professionalization, and governance redesign. His practice integrates three connected areas: leadership and executive development (assessment, succession, executive team effectiveness); executive rewards (total rewards strategy, compensation benchmarking, long-term incentive design, compensation governance); and corporate governance (board effectiveness reviews, board and committee evaluation, governance frameworks for public and family-controlled companies). As an adjacent service, he selectively engages in executive search for board, CEO, and C-level positions where technical or governance complexity warrants it.

With 21+ years as Partner in consulting, Roberto has built and led senior advisory practices across multiple platforms. He led People & Organization practices in global firms of significant scale, serving multinational and major Brazilian corporations, and later led a boutique advisory firm specializing in leadership and governance as Managing Director. His experience spans consumer products, retail, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, financial services, and infrastructure, with particular depth in regulated industries and companies undergoing professionalization or preparing for public offerings.

Roberto is an Associate Professor at Fundação Dom Cabral, teaching Corporate Governance, Executive Compensation, and People Strategy in executive education programs. He also serves on the People and Sustainability Board Committee at Connectoway.

He holds an Executive MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from IBMEC, with executive programs at Harvard Business School. His certifications include Corporate Governance from IoD-UK, Board Member Certification from IBGC, Change Management from Prosci, and Hogan Executive Assessment.

Outside of work, Roberto is a passionate home cook and a devoted enthusiast of the arts. These pursuits draw on the same patience and attention to detail he brings to advisory engagements.
